Philippine National Museums Open Daily Starting 2025

Great news for museum lovers! Beginning in 2025, national museums across the Philippines will welcome visitors every day of the week. This change was announced by the National Museum of the Philippines on January 1 through their Facebook page.

A Focus on Accessibility

The Philippine National Museum emphasizes universal access as a top priority. They believe that by opening their doors every day and keeping admission free, they can make their programs and services available to everyone. Previously, these museums were only open from Tuesday to Sunday, with visiting hours from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

What Museums Will Be Open?

Starting in 2025, the following national museums in Manila will be open daily:

  • National Museum of Fine Arts
  • National Museum of Anthropology
  • National Museum of Natural History
  • National Planetarium

These museums are located within Rizal Park and are part of the Executive House Building complex, which also includes historical structures like the Old Congress Building and the Department of Finance Building.

Regional Museums Across the Country

In addition to the central museums in Manila, there are regional national museums located in various areas such as Batanes, Cagayan, Ilocos, Cordillera, Rizal, and many more. This expansion ensures that people from different regions can also enjoy cultural experiences without any cost.

Free Museum Guided Tours Available

The National Museum offers free guided tours for groups of up to 35 people. To book a tour, visitors need to send a request via email at least five days before their visit. This is a great opportunity for schools and community groups to learn more about Philippine history and culture.

With these changes coming in 2025, visiting the National Museums will be easier and more enjoyable for everyone. Whether you are a local or a tourist, you can explore these cultural treasures every day of the week without any admission fees.
