INITIATE 2025 Shapes the Future of Work and Education

Manila, Philippines — October 2025. The three-day INITIATE 2025: Career & Education Congress successfully concluded at Megatrade Hall 1, SM Megamall, bringing together students, educators, employers, and government leaders in a national discussion on the future of work and education.

Organized by Creat8 Stories Inc. in partnership with DOLE, ECOP, and the EduCare Research and Development Foundation, the event became a hub for learning and collaboration. It aimed to empower the Filipino youth and prepare them for the evolving world of work.

Bridging Education and Real-World Experience

Through INITIATE-ED Talks and INITIATE-ED Circles, the Congress emphasized the importance of aligning education with industry needs. Speakers and panelists discussed workforce readiness, skills development, and how schools and companies can bridge the gap between academic learning and practical experience.

One of the key insights shared during the sessions was the value of gaining experience in the corporate world before pursuing freelancing. Furthermore, participants learned that starting in structured work environments builds discipline, teamwork, and professional habits — qualities that lay the groundwork for a more successful freelance career.

Strengthening Employability Through Shared Vision

DOLE’s Asec. Patrick Patriwirawan Jr. said that INITIATE supports the Philippine Labor and Employment Plan 2023–2028, which promotes employability and shared labor market governance. Meanwhile, ECOP Director General Jose Roland Moya highlighted that the future workforce must be equipped not only with technical expertise but also with creativity, adaptability, and resilience.

Moreover, the event also featured exhibits from schools, companies, and organizations showcasing innovative programs and career opportunities. Networking areas fostered meaningful exchanges between students, educators, and employers — all working toward a shared goal of a future-ready generation.

Kayla Cabasal of Creat8 Stories Inc. summed it up best: “INITIATE 2025 is about connection — between classrooms and offices, between policies and practice, and between students and their dreams.”

With thousands of participants and valuable insights gained, INITIATE 2025 stands as a milestone event for collaboration. In addition, it strengthened the link between education and industry, paving the way for an empowered and adaptable Filipino workforce.
