USAID Opportunities 2.0 Program and Education Development Center confers honor to JAAF, PPI Holdings, Inc.

The J. Amado Araneta Foundation (JAAF) and PPI Holdings, Inc. received recognition for their outstanding contributions to youth empowerment with Torches of Opportunities during handover ceremonies held on November 19 at Novotel Manila Araneta City.

AAF and PPI Holdings played a crucial role in the success of the USAID Opportunities 2.0 Program through their Immersion Link for Enablers and Adapters Program (iLEAP) in Quezon City. Furthermore, this initiative strengthens support systems for youth by providing essential skills training and employment opportunities. The collaboration aims to give young Filipinos second chances, enabling them to break barriers and secure brighter futures.

“Receiving this recognition is both an honor and a responsibility,”

said Diane Romero, Executive Director
of JAAF.

“At JAAF, we believe in the potential of every young Filipino. Through programs like iLEAP, we
are helping to build a future where no one is left behind. This award inspires us to continue our work with even greater passion.”

The Power of Collaboration

Romero also emphasized the transformative impact of collective action: “This wouldn’t have been possible without our partners and the dedicated individuals who worked tirelessly on the ground. Together, we are making a real difference in the lives of our youth.”

Moreover, Representing JAAF at the ceremony were Romero and Deputy Director Glenda Carlota. PPI Holdings was represented by Senior Vice President for HR Rose Herrera and Head of Training Al Guillermo. Both organizations received accolades for their dedication to empowering young people and opening doors to new opportunities.

“This partnership underscores the power of working together to create meaningful change,” Romero added. “By investing in our youth, we are investing in the future of our country.”

In addition, JAAF’s collaboration with Pizza Hut Philippines has been particularly impactful, providing young people with pathways to employment and personal growth. The initiative reflects a shared commitment to fostering hope and resilience among the next generation.
