New EV Benchmark: GAC AION UT Arrives in PH This May 2026

Manila, Philippines | May 18, 2026 – GAC International Philippines is gearing up for the arrival of the GAC AION UT, a battery-electric vehicle (BEV) hatchback that blends head-turning style, smart technology and an unexpectedly spacious interior into one youthful and city-ready package with “big car energy”.

GAC designed the AION UT for trend-seeking Filipino drivers who value both style and substance. With its dynamic driving experience and compact yet practical design, the hatchback aims to bring fresh energy to the local EV segment.

Inspired by European Design and Fashion

The AION UT draws inspiration from European art and fashion through its “Milanese Aesthetics” design philosophy, giving the vehicle a playful yet sophisticated personality. GAC equipped the hatchback with signature winky-eye headlights and a carefully curated artistic color palette to help it stand out on busy streets and weekend getaways alike.

The AION UT has already attracted strong attention across Australia, Thailand, Europe, and Latin America, quickly becoming one of GAC’s most talked-about global EV models. Through its combination of style, versatility, and smart functionality, GAC expects the AION UT to set a new benchmark for EV hatchbacks in the Philippine market.

Spacious Cabin with Everyday Versatility

Though compact on the outside, the 5-seater AION UT delivers the openness, comfort, and practicality typically associated with much larger vehicles. Built around a class-leading 2,750mm wheelbase and an intelligently packaged interior, the AION UT creates a cabin experience that feels airy, flexible, and ready for real life.

Whether drivers head out for spontaneous barkada road trips, shopping runs, sports activities, or daily city driving, the AION UT adapts easily to different lifestyles. Flat-folding rear seats and a versatile cargo area further enhance the hatchback’s practicality and convenience.

Built with Advanced EV Safety and Charging Technology

In addition to style and practicality, GAC equipped the AION UT with advanced safety and charging technology. The hatchback features GAC’s ultra-safe “Magazine Battery” technology, a high-strength steel body structure, and fast-charging capability that charges the battery from 30% to 80% in approximately 24 minutes.

GAC will offer the AION UT in five body colors: Champs-Elysees Beige, Emerald Green, Rococo White, Seine Silver, and a two-tone Rococo White + Emerald Green combination. The company plans to reveal additional specifications in upcoming announcements. Interested customers may already visit their nearest GAC dealership to learn more about the AION UT and place pre-reservations ahead of its official launch.
